I made it, and am very happy indeed to be here. I haven't been able to use my computer at home, and since I finished school recently I can't use the computers there, either. Thus I have not taken part in, let alone seen, any of the discussions about this new project, but needless to say, I'm in. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to take part in this for a few months. It doesn't look like my computer access will be restored anytime soon (today I specifically visited my school just to catch up on email and other stuff), and then in July I'm leaving for Colorado for two months, to our family house in the mountains where there is no Internet access either. I'm a little worried because my situation was exactly the same when Paradigm started up a year ago. I spent many days during my summer isolation then – as I will likely now – thinking up a character, only to return to civilization to find that it all fell through. But based on the discussions thus far, I hope this will actually get off the ground. I will be very happy to write with all of you again.
I am so, so, so excited to find Julie and Verena both interested, and even Alex considering it! Kym, Ron, Pat, and Nick, you guys go without saying. I’m in the “my writing still sucks” boat, though, as – like Julie – I haven’t really written anything since CotFO. But if you folks don’t mind, then I don’t either.
I wish I could take part in the whole world-building process going on right now but that seems difficult. Best of luck to all of you, though, and hopefully I’ll come up with some way of keeping up with all this throughout June.
